First Entry
Going to Spain is a dream come true for me. I expect to be enchanted by the landscape, the language and especially the culture. I've never been out of the country and from what I have heard about Spain, there is a lot to look forward to.
I am excited to be immersed in a culture different from my home. I want to be able to understand a lifestyle that is different from American because I think it is an extremely important life experience. I hope that I am able to comfotably immerse myself.
The language will be a challenge for me, but since I have taken Spanish classes for years, I am confident that I can pick it up in no time and hopefully interact well with everyone around me, not just my fellow students.
My greatest cause for excitement is staying with a family. I love meeting new people, especially those whom I know nothing about! I am so excited to see what daily life is like for them and how it will be for me.
I am a photographer at heart, though, and I will admit that I am extremely thrilled to get in some good photo time! A new landscape is a fantastic adventure for me, both behin the camera and in front of it!
